Before retiring in 2021, he served as Chief Officer of Corporate Finance, overseeing the bank’s corporate finance unit and delivering tailored financial solutions to high-value corporate clients. Over the years, he was closely involved in financing several high-profile projects.
He is an associate of the Institute of Financial Services and holds a Diploma in Banking. In 1995, Mr Attard gained international experience during a six-month placement at the Bank’s representative offices in Australia.
From April 2016 to April 2021, he also served on the Board of Directors of Mapfre Middle Sea p.l.c. as one of Bank of Valletta’s nominated directors. During this time, he held the position of Chairman of the Audit Committee.
